The show not only fails in not having enough LGBT characters or relationships but also not enough minorities. They want to stay SOO mainstream that they are afraid of going to those directions. Which is a real shame because the comic doesnt fear it at all. I totally agree with you.

I see Andrea and Michonne on the show has really close friends that took care of each other. There’s never been any evidence that Andrea is attracted to women. Michonne is more of a mystery. We just don’t know. So anything else is just fan fiction which there’s nothing wrong with but it’s not part of the story.

Sherlock is going in the opposite direction. They did something very clever the first season by playing with the notion that Sherlock might be attracted to Watson and visa versa. But once the fans went nuts shipping it, the show now just panders to them. It seems to have become the central focus of the show rather than just a really interesting twist on a story that’s been told many times. Instead of being a really interesting mystery it not just feels like the Moonlighting/ Bones/ Castle formula to me. Once they get together the show will be over.

Now I’m getting pissy that because of Andrea’s death, a popular television show has no strong, female same-sex ship represented… yet again. (Forget a same-sex couple that’s actually canon. That’s asking too much).

Hooray for heteronormativity…

The Walking Dead didn’t really have a strong female lead in Andrea in the first place. She was the worst!

First look at Season 4!
